The first seminar will take place on January 18 and 25, 2018 and will deal with the exercise of the three pillars of the Aarhus Convention, (a.) the right of access to environmental information, (b.) the right to public participation in decision-making that affect to the environment and (c.) how to access justice to defend those rights and compliance with environmental protection legislation.

 

With this cycle Mrs. Mariangeles Lopez intends to publicise the tools that environmental legislation makes available to the public for the defense and protection of the environment and to be an incentive for more and more professionals (lawyers, experts, NGOs and associations) to prepare and form in the knowledge of environmental law, contribute to its correct and effective application and help society to carry out an active defense of nature and its environment.
